The Motivation
The Wit and Wisdom Collaborative was born from the innate belief that with the necessary tools and support, every individual can be a great leader. We believe there are leaders at all levels, beyond those with titles and positions at the top of hierarchies. Wit and Wisdom supports leaders on their own paths, including designing their unique leadership style.
Our name celebrates the perfect balance of deep authenticity and joyful truth-telling that drives transformational change. We specialize in partnering with nonprofit organizations led by and serving historically marginalized communities, recognizing that their authentic voices and lived experiences are essential forces for social transformation.

Danielle Lovell-Jones, She/Her
A human, partner, parent, sister, auntie and friend, Danielle Lovell Jones is also a relationship-driven visionary with a proven track record of guiding organizations towards inclusive and equitable visions and strategies. She is a strong and compassionate leader known for her enthusiastic and impactful guidance and ferocious commitment to a future that is bright for all people and particularly for those who have been historically marginalized. she has driven initiatives moving nearly $100 million and excels at community and stakeholder engagement. In founding Lovell Strategies, Danielle established participatory design models, drawing inspiration from her maternal family's immigrant journey. Lovell Strategies embodies the lessons learned from her family — the power of investing in people, saying the necessary things to propel conversations, and inspiring individuals to be their best selves.
Not only is she a vibrant Miami Native with Trinidadian and Panamanian roots, she is also an Enneagram 4 and a proud Crimson Hoya with a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University.
When she’s not talking with cool people to get powerful solutions, she’s hanging with her husband, watching Bluey with her kiddos, salsa dancing with friends (far less than she’d like) and listening to Soca music.
Charmaine Mercer, Ph.D. She/Her
The moment Charmaine steps into a room, the energy shifts. This California native has an effervescent presence and a gift for helping leaders access their innate wisdom. An Enneagram 8, she moves through the world with an innate force—bold, unapologetic, and deeply committed to justice. She leads with humility, curiosity, and genuine connection, proving that strength and vulnerability are not opposites, but powerful allies.
As a pioneering voice in racial equity, education policy, and philanthropic reform, Charmaine supports and guides leaders and teams to make transformative and enduring change. Her leadership style, enriched by insights from the Enneagram and years of self-discovery, creates spaces where inner wisdom becomes the compass for revolutionary change.
She embodies the truth that embracing your innate power isn’t just a leadership style—it’s the catalyst for transforming the world.
